Rexnord-Stephan has sold it's gear motor factory in Hamelt to Premium Stephan B.V. VEM motors Finland has sold and assembled in its own production in Finland Rexnord-Stephan products since 2007. Now the same products are called Premium Stephan gear motors.
Premium Stephan is a subsidiary of Premium Transmissions Ltd. in Pune, India. Premium are a market leading manufacturer of industrial gearboxes in India, with over 50 years of specialisation in high quality worm drives, fluid couplings and helical and planetary drives up to 4.000 kNm capacity, serving a multitude of industries across the world. The acquisition of the Hameln factory is for Premium a leap towards global activities. Hameln factory is developed by boosting flexible offering of customer-tailored complex solutions and by extending product range.
VEM motors Finland's product mix includes Rexnord-Stephan, now calles PREMIUM STEPHAN SI4 helical gear motors, SK4 bevel gear motors and PS4 shaft mounted gear motors. Motor part is as standard a VEM motor.
